observerWhen expectant mother Amy Gordon was invited to a baby shower on Sunday, she thought she’d get the usual blankets, bottles and binkies.

What she got was about $600 worth of baby gifts, as did 16 other mothers or mothers-to-be connected with the 32nd Medical Logistics Battalion.

Family and friends of new and expectant military moms from the 32nd Military Logistics Battalion gathered together today in Fort Bragg, North Carolina to see seventeen women showered with gifts sent by people and individuals from across the nation. Clever Parents hosted the event with our very good friend Lena Morrissey of Lena’s Notebook, to recognize expectant and new moms, eleven of whose spouses are deployed and six of whom are active duty soldiers.
