I provided a few tips for baby proofing his house and for inspiring crawling, but I also wanted to take this opportunity to feature a few fun crawling accessories. Dear Dr.MOZ,

I’d love it if you would ask the GoodFather what to do about my toddler throwing things. The flying objects are pretty easy to handle when we are home, but it can be a real nightmare when we are out in the world. He seems to be developing a strong throwing arm and a flying sippy cup or high-speed toy can really do some damage.

I have one word for you, and that word is “colic”. Our doctor tells us that our baby girl is healthy, and we’ll just have to try and make her as comfortable as possible until she (we) get through it.

Dear Dr.MOZ,

I was given a diaper bag as a new dad gift and so I thought I’d check in with the GoodFather and his crew to see what should go in it. I’m guessing that diapers and a bottle will be involved, but the rest is Greek to me. We still have a few weeks to go before the big day, so just tell me what to do and I’ll take care of it. Dear Dr.MOZ,

Here’s a question that I think would be a good fit for the GoodFather this Friday. My wife and I are the first couple from our group of friends to get pregnant and we’re stumped by the baby registry. The car seats and other baby gear are easy enough, but what about the clothing? How much of each type of baby clothing will our newborn daughter actually need?

Hello Cliff,

You’ll hear a lot of different opinions when it comes to how many of each type of baby clothing you’ll need, but it really comes down to how much laundry you can stand to do. On the other hand, your newborn will quickly outgrow most outfits so you don’t want to buy out the baby store quite yet. Here’s my list of newborn clothing essentials that every GoodFather should have ready by his baby’s birth. The list may change slightly depending on where you live and the particular season your baby is born, but this is a great primer for a baby registry. (more…)
