Wow! Great article. I totally agree with everything you said. I am also a huge coupons lover and will find discounts anywhere I can. Why buy full price when you can find coupons and discounts. I agree that it does save a lot of money. I love coupons and savings so much that I decided to start a website - but it is still under construction. Thanks for the ideas and the great post.

Hi Tara,

Thanks so much for your post. I definitely agree about the "silent millionares" - those folks we would never expect to have so much wealth. There are many people out there who have been frugal, saved their money, lived below their means and will retire quite comfortably because of it. I hope we are both in that category some day!

Keep up the great job with your rebates and couponing!

Net worth millionaires are known for cashing in on the right coupons and rebates. They are not embarrassed. I have a few friends that are rather wealthy and they skip the 25 cent coupons but they love their dollar off coupons.

I saved the proof of purchases from baby food to exchange for "good for one free..." coupons I saves 68 dollars (6 coupons) so far. That is money going into my kid's college savings.

My uncle told me once that my aunt who stayed home with the kids saved enough coupons, rebates, returned soda cans and entered raffles that she pulled in the equivalent of a part time job's income.
Considering they own a few homes and drive expensive cars shows they rather choose who gets their money and why at 45 they are now retired.

Why should I give hard earned money away and make someone else wealthy when I could be the one retiring early with a vacation home. You know?

(I do skip the 25cents and less coupons but look for "on sale" items that don't need coupons and watch for rebates or sky miles for other items like cell phones. We got $200 off for two blackberry cell phones...good deal)
