Holy Cow!
I feel like we could possibly have 1.5 million Thomas trains in our toy bin! I think my husband likes buying them more than my son likes playing with them!
On a serious note, this is really good info. I heard NOTHING of this recall.

I know what you mean. We have a ton of these trains, too… I’ve been on a train hunt trying to collect all of them. It’s a shame they’ve been in and out of my boys’ mouths for the last year or so…

Hello, I am with Viles and Beckman, LLC. We are actively investigating the current Thomas the Tank Engine/RC2 lead toys debacle. If any parents or toy owners would like their toys to have their lead levels check (in an independent lab in Massachusetts) please contact our firm. We will happily accept your toys, return them (if you so wish), and inform you of the results of the testing.
Thank You,
Chris P.

[...] I don’t know what it is about recalls lately, but it blows my mind that big name companies and products are still using lead paint. First, Thomas the Train, now Fisher-Price licensed character toys. Here’s the latest: [...]

I had to participate in the recall and then again when even more Thomas toys were recalled. I had to send in the “James” train twice! I still get upset and tell my younger son “NO,NO” when he puts his brother’s trains in his mouth. I have lost complete faith in RC2 as well as most other toy manufactuers out there…
