RALEIGH, N.C. — 17 future mothers received gifts from anonymous donors as part of a large baby shower.
Each one of the moms is connected by military service. Some of them are soldiers while others are wives of soldiers.
The shower was hosted by Kris and David Jackson of cleverparents.com, and Lena Morrissey, owner of Lenasnotebook.com.
Lois Stubbs, the wife of the 32nd Medical Logistics Battalion Commander and Family Readiness Group Leader offered her expertise and assistance. She remembers being pregnant with a deployed husband and wanted to do something nice for the other mothers.
The shower was posted on a Web site and 50 corporations from 25 states donated goodies.
All of the moms were grateful for the items. The baby shower was so successful, the organizers may do it again for other families stationed at other military installations.
