As we’ve mentioned on several vidcasts and in our newsletter, Clever Parents is co-sponsoring with Lena’s Notebook a baby shower for 17 Army moms from Fort Bragg. Lena came up with the idea and we’re very proud to be a part of it. The shower is Sunday, June 3rd from 2-4pm and will celebrate the moms and their babies with food, gifts and fun.
Fifty companies from 25 states as well as numerous individuals from across the country have donated gifts. Gifts include diaper bags, infant bouncers, clothing and shoes, books and DVDs, diapers, baby products and toys. The gifts are being sent by individuals and companies from around the country to show support for military families. Because becoming a parent is challenging; having a spouse deployed or being an active duty solider greatly intensifies that challenge. The mothers include both the spouses of active duty soldiers currently deployed as well as active duty soldiers from the 32nd Medical Logistics Battalion.
This is the first of what we hope will be many showers, if you would like to contribute, please contact Kris at kris(at)cleverparents(dot)com or send gifts directly to

I really want to thank Kris and the rest of the support team that did all of this for us! I mean it’s so encouraging to see how much people all around really do care! I truly got a little teary eyed receiving all the great and wonderful gifts. It’s such a blessing to have people like you : Kris, Mrs.Stubbs, and the rest of the support group! I don’t even know where to begin with all my thanks! But lets not forgot our prayers and love for our soldiers that are overseas~ Thank you so much for everything and God Bless! xoxo
