What: Jayneoni’s Golden Globes Boom Boom Room

When: Thursday 1/11/07

Where: Century City, CA

angieharmon.JPGWhen folks hear that I’m in LA, one of the first things they ask is if I see many celebrities. Not really, unless you count the ones I see regularly in my weekly magazines. So when I heard about Jayneoni’s much-anticipated Boom Boom Room to kick off the awards season, I knew I had to be there.

For those who don’t know, the Boom Boom Room is the ultimate gifting suite for Hollywood mamas and their little ones. Founded by style insider Jayneoni Moore, the fabulous day-long event introduced stars and media to the hottest brands for tiny tots, as well as raising money and awareness for the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation. In a nutshell, it was a day filled with glitz, glamour and a gaggle of goodies.

Who was there? Angie Harmon (top right photo) was rocking knee-high boots while admiring the BabyLegs suite with her two little ones in tow. while Laura Leighton was busy being snapped up by photogs (although I didn’t see hubby Doug Savant). shirlybrener.JPG

Dancing with the Stars Tia Carrere (upper left photo) was gracious enough to stop and pose for a picture (and she is more gorgeous is person), and Vivica A. Fox surely lives up to her name. She is one foxy mama, and I would have taken a picture, but by that time my arms were dragging me down. I did manage to snap Employee of the Month’s Shirly Brener posing with the lovely ladies from Chic Tots (see right).

And I waited for the valet alongside Without a Trace’s Marianne Jean-Baptiste, who also had her arms full of swag. She looked at me and said, “I’m glad I’m not the only one!” (see my photo below to see what she’s talking about). I’m sure more celebs came after I left, but I think that’s plenty for one afternoon!

farah.JPGBut the best part of my day was meeting with all the vendors, especially the ones we’ve reviewed in the past– including Angel Milk, BabyLegs, Bee’s Knees, Big Day Books, Binsi, Boon, Hand Picked Pumpkin, Moncalin, Robeez, Taggies and You’re Such a Baby. It was quite rewarding to see so many of our picks chosen for the event, as well as seeing SheFindsMom reviews in their press kits! Plus, being able to put a face to the name is definitely helpful.

Of course I met with reps from companies new to SheFindsMom who had some seriously impressive finds. So definitely stay tuned for upcoming reviews for Amy Tangerine, Bop-a-Lots, Time Out Spots, LillyBee, Washington Boots, 2d, Wooly Lamb Organics and more over the course of the next few weeks. I’ll also have more photos from the event, so stay tuned!

Before I finally put my feet up after a long hard day (poor me), let me give a special shout out to Erika Hanson from Pure Consulting, who made me feel like a celebrity in my own right today. That chocolate dipped strawberry was just as you said it would be…de-li-cious!
