Here are a few tips to beat the holiday bloat so you look back at your Thanksgiving with fond memories. Read more. Here we are at the end of our holiday missions. Hopefully you have found some inspiration in these missions and your holiday season is just a tad bit less stressful! If you have not finished your shopping, hopefully your list is not too great. If you are finished, stay away from the malls and the temptation to buy more!! This week we will be focusing on cleaning, organizing, relaxing, and enjoying this wonderful time of the year!

Do your laundry mid week and press any clothes (if needed) WAY before they are actually needed! Stock your fridge with milk and other necessities, buy plenty of bread, diapers, batteries, blank videotapes, Tylenol (for you and the kids), and anything else that you won’t want to be running out for at the last minute!! “The small bell positioned between the wood slats can break and allow access to small parts. This poses a choking hazard to young children,” according to the CPSC. (No injuries or incidents have been reported.)
“This recall involves wooden rattles with six-multi-colored slats used to connect the two, red round ends. A metal bell is contained within the slats. The rattles measure 2 1/2-inches in diameter by 2 1/2-inches in height. The name BRIO appears on one of the wooden sides.” Read the rest »
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), in cooperation with See Kai Run, of Woodinville, Washington, today announced a voluntary recall of about 6,500 “Ellis” children’s boots sold in pre-walk and toddler sizes 3 through 9, according to the CPSC. “Metals snaps on the side closure of the boot can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children,” says the CPSC.
There has been one report of a child starting to choke on a detached snap from the Ellis children’s boot, a black boot with white stitching with either leather or faux fur lining. ““See Kai Run” is written on the sole and insole of the boots. “Ellis – FF” or “Ellis – L” is written on the side of the shoe box under the Style heading. No other styles or models are included in this recall.” Read the rest »
