So, here we find ourselves at the end of our Christmas Holiday. Our live trees are starting to look a bit on the dry and crispy side and our living rooms look like a paper and toy bomb exploded! There are returns to make, clothes to wash, tags to cut, and a billion twist ties to find in the carpet before we even attempt to run the vacuum.
Take a few moments this week to reflect on what you enjoyed about this Christmas season and what did not work out so well. Try to think of ways that you can make next Christmas easier! If you normally keep your Christmas list on the computer, believe it or not, I am going to tell you to start yours for next year!! Print it out (or write it out) and keep it folded in your wallet for whenever you are out shopping throughout the year! The absolute best time to shop for Christmas is now upon us as nearly everything is at least 75% off!! It’s a great time to stock up on various gifts like winter pajamas, sweaters, scarves and ornaments.
Starting next week, I will be sharing with you my regular Clutter Buster challenges. In January we will begin our focus on getting our house in order. The first week will focus on packing up the decorations. The rest of the month I will be challenging you with time organization (daily & weekly schedules, household manual, etc.) tasks. Each month afterwards we will focus on different areas of everyday household issues such as paper clutter, kitchen cleanout, and organizing your bathroom!
For those of you who are still celebrating, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa and may the New Year find you all surrounded by love, happiness, and an organized home!!
