Your Clutter Busting challenge for the week of January 30th is to Create a Weekly Schedule.Designate certain days for different jobs. For example: I do towel laundry on Mondays and also clean the bathrooms those days. Tuesdays I do all clothes laundry and dust and sweep bedrooms. Wednesday is Bill day and home office clean up, etc. etc.
Once you get into a routine, your family will follow. My family knows that if their dirty clothes are not placed into the laundry basket on Tuesday morning they will not have it cleaned that week.
Tasks to consider:
- Dry cleaning - pick up / drop off
- Grocery shopping
- Bill paying
- Laundry
- Regular chores (use your chore list!)
- Regularly scheduled events (music lessons, dance class, soccer practice, etc.)
- Dinner night out or any regularly scheduled family outings
Create this weekly schedule to best suit your needs! Don’t forget to include your children in this as well!
January Review!
Now’s the time to get caught up! Go back through the past challenges and finish all the tasks that you did not quite complete. Hopefully by the end of this week your Manual will be pretty much together.
Here is what is in store for February:
Toss out, clear out, and organize that paper clutter!!
